The title doesnt lie, this is in fact the last yanime release ever since the scanslation group is now no more,
the get the beginning of the end of this shindig started, a word from alfer, most of you know him as the guy on the bus grabbing your ass...

"Well, if you even bother to read this page, then this is truly the end of Yanime as a scanslation group. When I first joined Yanime, I was a lowly editor that wanted to do something with Ichigo. Oddly I was referenced from Akatsuki, another group that worked with Ichigo for a while. Anyway, by the time I joined Yanime was still budding with youth. Like most people, I was in love with Ichigo and wanted to see how the love pentagon would go. After a while, after my Japanese got better, I would help with proofing and translations and QCing with Ichigo and other projects. I'd like to think my first colored pages help get Plum, Strikeflo and DDR into Yanime.

It felt good to be in a scanslating group doing something that was reaching out to more people than people buying the licensed manga. Having a friendly rivalry with Animewaves gave us some entertaining drama, and a handful of great projects kept us going for a while, like School Rumble, Gintama, D-Gray Man, and Mai-Hime.

Then the licensing plague finally hit us, and we lost all the series mentioned above. That and Ichigo went from love pentagon to a Nishino fan-service. With extra characters thrown in near the end, a haphazard climax and a bland conclusion, it left a bittersweet taste for most of us. However, it was the reason I came to Yanime, and we were able to finish it well before it was finally licensed. After that, Yanime had nothing. It is odd to see Yanime go through this long with only ONE completed series, and that Toriyama one-shot doens't count.

Everyone from the old gang was growing up or got tired of the scanslating scene. Others went to other groups and others stayed until the end. It is regretable that I didn't get to say good-bye to some of them. In the end, Yanime did its best at telling a story told in another language, for free no less. So to the people who read this whole spiel, thanks for sticking it out and I hope you enjoyed whatever we worked on.

NOW TO THE RELEASE! its none other than gakuen heaven ch 25, now i know some people (all of you) are going to be annoyed at the fact that we didnt in fact finish this project. we are sorry for that but there is no way this project is going to move at all from ch 25. we have tried many times to get new and active staff but the case was that we didnt get enough applicants that were qualified to help out yanime.

if you guys want to know what will happen to it, i suggest starting up your own group and try releasing your own boob-filled chapters by yourselves (i know of a guy who is seriously thinking of taking it up already)

as for sidooh, dont worry i have great confidence that the project will still be moving under a different banner ;)

HTTP downloads will soon be updated, so please hold out for em we are trying to get all the chapters upto date so you can leech your little hearts out before we close that avenue...

the IRC channel is still up so you can leech Ch25 there (the bot will only be there for a couple days, better hurry!), if you want you could even give us some thanks and final words, and if you want to troll/flame us i suggest not bothering >_>;;

Also, since Ichigo 100% has been licensed in North America by VIZ Media, so we will remove all chapters from the site. We ask you to support the manga and Kawashita-sensei by buying the volumes once they are released (and see if VIZ ripped our translations!).

Website Troubles - Call for Donations - Updated

Update: Thanks to the generosity of our fans, we have enough to pay for another year of hosting! Thank you to all who donated.

If you were considering donating, you are still welcome to. All donations beyond hosting expenses will be used to pay for copies of the manga we scan and for future hosting bills.

Short news:

If we don't get $40 in donations by October 20, we lose hosting.

Long news:

Yesterday I was contacted by CGoten concerning the website. As you might know, he has been paying for the website since the group's start.

Unfortunately, he cannot continue doing this, especially as he has left the group. The problem is that we do not have enough donated funds to pay the upcoming bill.

The website is paid on a yearly basis, and the bill is up on October 22. Right now our donated funds are about $40 short of covering our hosting bill.

I hate having to beg, but we are in need of donations to cover this shortfall. If you can donate, please do so. I would hate for this website to go away. (Remember that PayPal takes 30 cents plus 3% of transactions, so $2 is the lowest amount that would be beneficial.)
